Meet Dr. Joel Taatjes
After completing his undergraduate course studies at the University of Wisconsin and Pre-med Core studies at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Joel Taatjes went on to pursue his chiropractic education. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Northwestern College of Chiropractic followed by certification as a Schofield Master Chiropractor and Industrial Disability Evaluator.
Quality chiropractic care in a comfortable and friendly environment was the goal of Dr. Joel Taatjes when he opened Redwood Chiropractic back in 1989, and it remains his mission today. In order to achieve that goal, he actively serves his community at local and international levels. He is a Certified Intern Training Supervisor with Life College of Chiropractic and a Certified Field Doctor Training Supervisor for Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Taatjes is also a member of the World Chiropractic Alliance and annually participates in field mission trips to Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
Dr. Joel Taatjes has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Petaluma, CA. Since 1989, Dr. Taatjes is committed to promoting optimal health and well-being of patients.
Dr. Taatjes uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Taatjes is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
Meet Dr. Ryan S. Lee
Dr. Lee was born and raised in South Korea. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Dongseo University with a B.S. in Engineering. Since there is no chiropractic in South Korea, he never had a chance to see what chiropractic could do until his good friend Dr. Jung, a chiropractor in Modesto, invited him to Canada to experience how chiropractic can help people without drugs or surgeries. That was a unique life-changing experience for him. After he saw the power of chiropractic adjustments and the dramatic improvement in patients' health, he decided to stay in Canada to work as a chiropractic assistant for 2 years to be mentored by two successful doctors.
After 2 years of employment, he pursued his degree of Doctor of Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West in 2009. After 4 years of studying, he obtained his diploma, and was honored to be recognized as "Intern of the Quarter".
Since Dr. Lee majored in engineering as an undergraduate, he had a unique ability to incorporate a structural engineering approach to chiropractic. It was easy for him to understand that a misaligned bone that is pinching a nerve could interfere with the communication between the body and the nervous system. As a chiropractor, he removes the interference in the body, which opens up more nerve flow, which allows the body to heal and recover much more efficiently. An adjustment opens up the life channels of your body and improves your overall life and it does it every time in every body. It is simple as that.
Meet Dr. Kevin Linzey
Searching for a chiropractor means finding an experienced practitioner with years of hands-on training and expertise who will safely and effectively deliver solutions to you and your family. Dr. Linzey's passion for helping people through health and performance began as a patient when he needed relief from injury and chronic pain. Dr. Linzey is one of a kind simply due to the fact that chiropractic "found" him.
Dr. Linzey attended UC Davis receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development. While at UC Davis, he was a four-year member of the varsity football program. After a successful career as tight end for the 1997 final four championship team for the Aggies, he pursued a rugby career with the UC Davis rugby team. He quickly progressed as the starting 8-man for the Aggies. After an incredibly successful rookie season, he was honored as a member of the All-American team. Less than a year later, he was selected as one of the elite athletes to represent the United States as a member of the 7's National Team.
Stemming back to a neck injury he suffered during his football career in his junior year, 7 years earlier, Dr. Linzey consistently battled unrelenting neck and arm pain throughout his athletic career. As the years went on and his condition worsened, it affected his performance in every aspect of his life. With no answers or relief from the multiple medical specialists visited, the repeated advanced imaging, the daily physical therapy visits, and the enormous amounts of medications consumed his ability to play sports came to an end. Dr. Linzey was devastated having to walk away from athletics, changing his life forever.
Eventually, an ex-teammate who is a Chiropractor reached out to Dr. Linzey and introduced him to Chiropractic care. After achieving life changing results through Chiropractic care, including returning to his athletic career, Dr. Linzey was inspired to help people through Chiropractic. He applied, attended, and graduated at Life University in Marietta, Georgia while playing 5 more years of Rugby.
Dr. Linzey is known for using the most advanced, effective and gentle chiropractic techniques. With his advanced system of corrective care, he achieves superior results for his patients even in the most chronic and difficult cases, often when other methods of treatment have failed them. His focus of pain relief is optimal performance and achieving the highest quality of life. Dr. Linzey believes in the art, philosophy, and science that is Chiropractic. He appreciates that people are spiritual beings whose lives are directed by the natural, vitalistic, and innate universal laws that control healing as long as the body is kept free from interference.
